What if my cycle isn't 'just fine'?
Many women experience a variety of complaints associated with their menstrual cycle. This can range from breakthrough bleeding or an irregular bleeding pattern to long or short cycles, heavy blood loss (menorrhagia), or conversely, very light periods. Painful periods (dysmenorrhea) are also frequent, accompanied by cramps in the lower abdomen, back pain, nausea, or radiating pain to the legs.
In addition, symptoms often occur during the luteal phase, in the days to weeks before menstruation. This can manifest as irritability, sadness, anxiety, mood swings, increased stress sensitivity, fatigue, sleep problems, and cognitive complaints such as loss of concentration or “brain fog” (PMS or, in a more severe form, PMDD). Migraine, headaches, breast tenderness, fluid retention, and a bloated abdomen also occur regularly within the cyclical pattern.
When these symptoms recur structurally or affect the quality of life, this may indicate an underlying hormonal imbalance or other gynecological causes, such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, or ovulation disorders.
FertilityCare assists in systematically mapping these symptoms in relation to the cycle, so that patterns become visible and can be better interpreted. This forms the basis for further clinical assessment.
Depending on the findings, various medical treatment options are possible with a stepwise, medically substantiated approach in which symptoms are not viewed in isolation, but are assessed and treated in conjunction with the cycle.
